Configuring License Management Service on Linux and Windows hosts using CLI
You can configure License Management Service using the command line interface (CLI) on a Linux and Windows host.
If InfoScale Operations Manager is already installed on the Windows or Linux host on which you are configuring License Management Service, then only the CLI option is available. The web browser option is not available.
To configure License Management Service using CLI on Linux and Windows hosts
- After installing License Management Service, from the command prompt, run the following command to start the configuration:
Linux: "/opt/VRTSsfmh/bin/perl/opt/VRTSlms/bin/cli_lms_config.pl"
Windows: C:\Program Files\Veritas\VRTSsfmh\bin\perl.exe"
"C:\Program Files\Veritas\VRTSlms\bin\cli_lms_config.pl"
- Enter the host name (fully-qualified name).
- By default, the IP address, and the Database location for the host is displayed. You can either accept the default values or enter the values manually.
- Enter Y to start the configuration using the default values.
After successful configuration, the License Management Service URL is displayed.
- Copy and paste the URL in the browser and sign in to the License Management Service GUI.
Note:
If you enter N, CLI quits the configuration and displays two options. Choose any one of the options that you want to do.
