Installing License Management Service on Windows (on-premises and cloud)
You can install License Management Service on a Windows host using the following file:
Veritas_License_Management_Server_8.0.2_Win_Full.exe
Note:
By default, the VRTSlms and VRTSsfmh packages are installed in the system drive. You cannot specify a different location to install the package.
After the installation is complete and before you proceed with the configuration process, can you verify that License Management Service is installed and the required services are started.

License Management Service can be installed on AWS and Azure cloud and the installation procedure is the same as follows.
To install License Management Service on Windows
- Ensure that the host where you plan to install License Management Service meets or exceeds system and operating system requirements.
- On the host where you plan to install License Management Service, log on as a user with administrator privileges.
- Download and unzip the installation file.
- Turn off the Windows firewall, or open ports 5634 and 14161 for TCP/IP communication if installing as a standalone product. Open 5634 and 14165 if installing on InfoScale Operations Manager.
- Ensure that there is no restart pending from Windows Update. If there is, restart the host before launching the installer.
- Ensure that the value for the environment variable PATHEXT on the target host includes the extensions
.exe, .bat, and .vbs. - To launch the installer, run the
VRTSlms_Full.exefile.Click Next.
- Accept the End User License Agreement to proceed with the installation.
- Click Next and follow through the installation process.
- After the installation is complete, select Launch product configuration to configure License Management Service.
You can choose to configure License Management Service later using the https://hostname:5634/ URL.
Where, hostname is the fully qualified name of the host.
- Click Configure.
- Configure License Management Service .
