About license usage
Using the License Management Service console, you can manage the licenses for InfoScale products. The default license for the InfoScale family is a subscription or a term-based license that allows you to license the product during a specified period of time. During the term of the subscription, you have the right to use the product, install product updates provided as part of maintenance and security updates and receive technical support however, you do not own the license. You have all the entitlements of ownership and hence on the License Management Service console the terms Entitlements and Entitlement ID are used.
For more information on Licenses, refer to the Arctera InfoScale and InfoScale for Kubernetes Licensing Guide.
Before you get started with assigning entitlements IDs to hosts, you need to update the License meter file and the Entitlements file to view your license data on the License Management Service console.
