About the Setup panel
The panel is launched when you first open the License Management Service console. This panel is a shortcut to perform the below listed operations which are a part of getting started with License Management Service. For subsequent logins, the panel is always displayed unless you clear the check box.
Operation | Functionality |
|---|---|
Host | Use this option to add InfoScale Classic and Cloud hosts to License Management Service. You can add hosts manually, using the See About managing hosts. |
License meter | Use this option to upload the Core Plus license meter file to track licensing units required per host. |
Entitlements | Use this option to upload the active InfoScale product entitlements from the Veritas Entitlement Management Service (VEMS). |
User administration | Use this option to configure and manage License Management Service user accounts. See Adding a user group. See Adding local users. |
To use the Setup panel
- The panel is launched when you first open the web console after the initial configuration is completed.
Clear the Show at sign check box if you do not want to view the panel and instead go to the Dashboard directly.
- Click on the following to perform the relevant operations:
Add host to add hosts.
Update to upload the Core Plus license meter file.
Update to upload active InfoScale product entitlements.
Configure to configure and manage user accounts
- Click Exit setup to exit the panel and go to the Dashboard.
