At Veritas, our customers are always top of mind as we build and develop solutions that solve our customers' biggest data challenges. From a unified data management experience to education and professional services, we ensure our customers can meet today's fast-evolving IT landscape. As the Vice President of Customer Success, I am responsible for the go-to-market strategy and our sales team engaging with our customers to ensure they understand the value of their investment in Veritas. We strive to put our customers at the core of our product evolution, which will drive our customers to renew their maintenance and support willingly and enthusiastically with Veritas. I am delighted to say that my team delivers valuable touchpoints with our customers to create value and drive customer loyalty and excitement for our products.

Veritas is growing at a record pace. Our Customer Success organization is hiring for a multitude of roles and looking for people who have a passion for problem-solving and tackling customer pain points. Our team enables our customers to leverage data to evolve their business. I think it is essential for new team members to be prepared to balance data with the art of selling and have a customer-first mindset. We are looking for candidates that evolve our culture and continue to improve it. We are a very inclusive culture where people feel comfortable bringing their authentic selves to Veritas and our team. We want people that will continue to make our culture better.

Reflecting on my career journey, my first job was selling vacuum cleaners door-to-door and my first corporate job was in IT where I worked as a reseller in the UK. With these experiences combined, one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in my career is to stretch yourself, make yourself uncomfortable, constantly learn, and know that your strengths act as a halo across any perceived weakness. If my strengths outweigh my weaknesses, it doesn’t matter. Keep doing what you’re good at. Find the people on your team that are good at doing what you’re not good at doing. Create a team of people that complement your skills.

Besides the impact of my role, the people and culture at Veritas truly make it a pleasant experience to work here. The people I engage with make me feel like I’m one of the luckiest VPs in the company. I’m wedged between a wonderful leadership team and my boss to bring out the best in all of us. Every day, I’m inspired by the work they do and our progress together with our customers. The culture at Veritas is important to me as well. I love how the company emphasizes the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) at every level in the organization. Veritas provides ways for employees to embody DEI at work and beyond. For example, Veritas employees are encouraged to get involved in our Employee Resource Groups (ERG), grassroots employee-led programs that foster diversity, equity, and inclusion and mitigate our environmental footprint. Of our ERGs, I am the Executive Sponsor for Pride at Veritas Empowered (PAVE), and I couldn’t be more excited to help the team promote and expand a thriving community of LGBTQ+ employees and allies at Veritas. PAVE’s mission is to foster an inclusive workspace and educate the community about LGBTQ+ issues, network with each other for support and learning, and develop, promote, and nurture diverse talent at every level.

If creating value for customers is your passion, please consider joining us! We encourage you to explore open roles on our career page: https://www.veritas.com/company/careers.
