I'm putting on my traditional change manager hat for a moment, to emphasize the importance of having a solid foundation to support technology change. It's all about the process of culture and skills development and alignment. This deserves some serious attention, especially when it comes to making sure that autonomous ideas have human oversight, as artificial intelligence can quickly become unpredictable. There needs to be trust in terms of data security, such as making sure it is immutable and protected. It really does feel like we're using active intelligence together to really bring our ideas to life.

Getting down to business, I’ll speak to the specifics about the technologies that are increasing in popularity and uptake, such as Kubernetes and other container technologies.

Customers Face Unique Challenges in the Cloud

Today, customers are facing unique challenges in the cloud. They are looking for ways to increase scalability, reduce costs, and improve security. However, they are also struggling with the complexity of managing Kubernetes, microservices, and Docker containers.

Our conversations suggest that we have the potential to influence this situation. With a cloud-first mentality, many of our clients are opting for greater scalability and reduced assets by migrating off-site to the cloud. This allows them to quickly scale up on demand and make their costs more manageable. Nonetheless, many are still wrestling with how to address issues such as microservices, Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestrations with multiple clouds, clusters, designated users, policies and communications between nodes. Setting up these systems can prove to be difficult and complex - making it harder to achieve the desired results.

It's clear that the future of applications lies in containers, microservices, and Kubernetes. Customers who are just getting started with cloud technology especially benefit from these tools because they give them access to cloud features such as elasticity—the ability to easily spin up clusters of servers when needed and scale down when not. Having a native solution is essential for backing up data no matter where it originated: on-premises, in the cloud, or within a container. We offer native backup support for various versions of Kubernetes, including Tanzu, OpenShift, and AKS, so customers won't be tied down to any one version and will be free to migrate their applications whenever necessary. With us, data can remain secure and recoverable even as you transition to another platform.

Kubernetes is a prime focus for Veritas. To address growing needs in the DevOps and Agile development sectors, our approach is extremely efficient. Developers are increasingly taking ownership of applications and dictating which platform to select for Kubernetes. Enterprises have an innate curiosity; investing in technology solutions to integrate into their environment. With our technology, we can facilitate the transfer of Kubernetes between platforms with ease. It's a truly enthralling prospect.

Veritas is committed to helping customers succeed in the cloud. We are constantly innovating to provide the best possible solutions for our customers. We are excited to see what the future holds for Kubernetes and Veritas.

Here are some additional benefits of using Veritas's Kubernetes backup solution:

  • Reduced complexity: Our solution is designed to be easy to use, even for businesses with limited Kubernetes experience.

  • Improved security: Our solution includes a wide range of features to help customers secure and protect their data.

  • Scalability: Our solution is scalable to meet the needs of even the most demanding businesses.

  • Cost-effectiveness: Our solution is cost-effective, even for businesses with large amounts of data.

The growth this has produced has been highly appreciated worldwide. Looking ahead, compliance issues may emerge as a new source of disruption. There are myriad possibilities to explore.

If you are looking for a way to simplify and improve your data security, let us know.
