Restoring archived emails
While working with your archived emails, you may find one you need that is no longer in your inbox. Using Insight Personal Archive, you can restore the archived email and send an exact copy of it back to your inbox. The restored email appears at the top of the email list in your inbox with the date and time you restored it. You can see the original timestamp of the email by opening it in your inbox.
Outlook on the web displays the restored timestamp by default. When replying to this email, the original timestamp is displayed properly in the
field.To restore a single email
- In the email list, select an archived email.
- Do one of the following:
In the email toolbar, click Restore this email.
Right-click the email then click Restore this email.
Note:
You can only restore one email at a time from the right-click menu. Even if you select multiple emails and click Restore this email in the right-click menu, Insight Personal Archive only restores the email you right-clicked.
To restore multiple emails
- In the email list, select the archived emails that you want to restore.
- In the toolbar at the top of the browser window toolbar, click Restore.
