Connecting the partner node to the Primary Storage Shelf
The following figure shows the locations of the FC ports in the partner node.
The following figure shows the locations of the FC ports Ch3 and Ch4 in the canisters A and B of the Primary Storage Shelf.
To connect the partner node to the Primary Storage Shelf
- Connect the slot 1 FC ports on the partner node to the following Primary Storage Shelf canister FC ports:
Connect partner node slot 1, port 2 to Primary Storage Shelf canister B, FC Ch3.
Connect partner node slot 1, port 1 to Primary Storage Shelf canister A, FC Ch3.
- Connect the slot 4 FC ports on the partner node to the following Primary Storage Shelf canister FC ports:
Connect partner node slot4, port 2 to Primary Storage Shelf canister B, FC Ch4.
Connect partner node slot 4, port 1 to Primary Storage Shelf canister A, FC Ch4.
- Verify that the connections match the ports in the following diagram.
