NetBackup 8.2 and SUSE 15 installation issue
After you install NetBackup on a SUSE 15 server, the NetBackup services do not start. This issue is the result of changes to the SUSE packages.
To resolve this installation issue, do one of the following:
- Before NetBackup installation, install the
insserv-compatpackage from the SuSE15 ISO. - If NetBackup is already installed:
Install the
insserv-compatpackage from SuSE15 ISO.Run the insserv netbackup command.
Run the chkconfig netbackup command. The output should be netbackup on.
