New option (reinitialize) added to the csconfig command utility
When you make any updates to the cloud storage configuration settings, a service restart is required for the changes to take effect. For NetBackup 8.2 and later releases, you have to restart the NetBackup Web Management Console (nbwmc
) web service. For releases before NetBackup 8.2, you have to restart the NetBackup CloudStore Service Container (nbcssc
) service. To avoid a service restart, NetBackup 8.2 introduces a new option (reinitialize
) for the csconfig command utility. The csconfig reinitialize option reinitializes the CloudStore service container components in the nbwmc
web service. This command reloads the updated configuration settings automatically and a service restart is no longer required.
