New API keys feature provides user authentication to APIs and commands
NetBackup now supports user authentication through API keys. A NetBackup API key is a pre-authenticated token that lets a NetBackup user run NetBackup commands, such as nbcertcmd -createToken or nbcertcmd -revokeCertificate, or access NetBackup RESTful APIs.
Unlike a password, an API key can exist for a long time and you can configure its expiration. Therefore, any operations that need authentication can run for a long time using API keys.
