Linux daemon shutdown issues
During a client install or upgrade (all methods) and a media server native install or an upgrade, NetBackup daemons are started as part of the last NetBackup RPM package that is installed. (VRTSnbcfg for clients and VRTSnetbp for media servers.) When the version of the native rpm command on the system is 4.14.0 or newer, you may experience issues shutting down NetBackup daemons the first time after an install or an upgrade. All subsequent shutdown attempts will behave as expected.
