Remove Security Admin privilege

Before you begin
  • You must be a Security Admin for the team.

  • At least one additional Security Admin must exist to review the request.

  • The team must not have an active pending secure quorum request, otherwise this action may be blocked.

  • Removing the Security Admin privileges must not reduce the number of Security Admin users below the required minimum.

Steps

  1. Go to Team Management.
  2. Select the required team.
  3. In the members list, locate the user.
  4. Edit the user role and remove the Security Admin privileges.
  5. Click Submit.
What happens next
  • The system does not remove the Security Admin privilege immediately.

  • A request is created to revoke the Security Admin privilege.

  • The request is assigned a Pending Approval state.

  • Another Security Admin must review and approve the request.

  • The requestor cannot approve their own request.

Result
  • If the request is approved, the Security Admin privilege is removed.

  • If the request is rejected, no changes are made.

  • If the request expires, the user retains the Security Admin privilege and a new request must be created.

Additional considerations
  • If removing the privilege would violate the minimum Security Admin requirement, the system may block the request.

  • If there is already an active secure quorum request for the team, this action may be blocked.

  • If OTP verification is required, you must complete verification to submit the request.
