Additional storage shelf scenarios

You can have up to six storage shelves with the NetBackup 5240 Appliance. You may already have storage shelves connected to your appliance. The following options are available.

  • If you already have one storage shelf you can add one to five shelves.

  • If you already have two storage shelves you can add one to four shelves.

  • If you already have three storage shelves you can add one to three shelves.

  • If you already have four storage shelves you can add one or two shelves.

  • If you already have five storage shelves you can add one shelf.

If you already have six storage shelves you cannot add any more shelves at this time.

Note:

The appliance server needs to be powered off when adding any storage shelves to an existing appliance installation.
