To add a new Enterprise Vault server

1. In the Information Governance Management Console, click Settings > Data Management.

   The Archiving (Enterprise Vault Configuration) tab opens by default. It displays a list of servers which are already configured.

2. Click Add New EV Server.
3. In the New EV Server window, provide the following information:

   • The IP address of the Enterprise Vault server. For example https://host-ip or http://host-ip.

   • The port at which the Enterprise Vault server runs. For example 443 or 80

     Note:

     Information Governance supports configuring Enterprise Vault with Secure Socket Layer (SSL)

   • The relevant login credentials for the Enterprise Vault server. From the Login Credentials drop-down, select the credentials which are saved in the system.See Managing saved credentials .

   Note:

   Information Governance does not support addition of an Enterprise Vault server using the host name. You can only add an Enterprise Vault server using the IP address or the alias name. Ensure that an entry for the server's alias name is added to the hosts file on the Management Server.

4. Click Test Credentials to verify that Information Governance can connect to the server using the saved credentials.
5. Click Save.
