Adding Server Pools
Adding server pools allows you to group multiple servers for load balancing, high availability, and simplified management. When a server pool is created, incoming requests can be distributed among the servers, enhancing performance and resilience.
Administrative Access
You must have administrator privileges to create or modify server pools in the Information Governance Console.
Worker Nodes
Ensure that at least two or more worker nodes are already added and active in the Information Governance environment.
To create a Server Pool,
- Log in to the Information Governance Management Console as an administrator.
- Click Settings in the top ribbon and click Server Pools in the Inventory section in the left pane.
- Click Add New Server Pool to open the server pool creation dialog.
- Enter a Server Pool Name.
- In the Server Pool Type field, only one option will be available: Collector.
- Select the operating system for the Server Pool: Windows or Linux.
Note:
You can create a server pool with nodes running the same operating system. Creating a server pool with a mix of operating systems such as one Windows node and one Linux node is not supported.
- Select the worker nodes you want to include in the server pool by clicking on each one. The selected nodes will appear in the right pane.
Note:
Only nodes with the Collector role are available for selection. Nodes that are already part of another server pool will not be available for selection.
- Click Add New Server Pool to create the server pool.
