Adding site collections to SharePoint Online accounts

By default, Information Governance discovers the site collections present in the hierarchy of a SharePoint Online account when it is added to Information Governance. However, if you chose to manually add a site collection, then ensure to clear the Automatically discover and add site collections in this SharePoint Online account check box that is available when you add an account.

To add a site collection

  1. In the Console, click Settings > SharePoint Sources.
  2. Click a configured account. On the details screen, click Monitored Site Collections.
  3. On the Monitored Site Collections list page, click Add Site Collection.
  4. On the Add New Site Collection pop-up, select the site collection from the drop-down, and click Save.
