The Veritas Learning Lab platform gives you access to a set of real-world, hands-on lab activities on the product of your choice. These lab activities were developed by Veritas product experts and are the same lab activities that you would receive in a formal training class. The lab activities provide guided, step-by-step instructions and are modularised, so that you can focus on the activities that are most important to you. You receive six months of access time to the Veritas Learning Lab of your choice. This means that you can work through the lab activities on your own time, around your busy schedule, and the labs are accessible from anywhere with an internet connection.

Test your virtual classroom and lab access from the location and computer you will be using for the upcoming training.

  1. For VILT classes only, test a meeting on your device. See the Zoom System Requirements for details on virtual classroom requirements.
  2. For both VILT and Veritas Learning Lab courses, test a sample virtual lab on your device.

Veritas offers Veritas Certified Specialist (VCS) and Veritas Certified Professional (VCP) certifications covering several different products and solutions by product versions. Certification requirements, sample exams, exam objectives, recommended training and registration are available for each certification and corresponding exam. See the list of currently available certifications.

Veritas Certified candidates and their companies have the ability to gain industry recognition, competitive differentiation, greater productivity and results, increased user community satisfaction and a tangible measure of their education investment. Learn more about certification benefits.

Yes, certification does count toward Veritas Partner Programme requirements.

The exams are available for registration from your Veritas LearnCentral Portal account. They will be available for registration at a Pearson VUE test centre, ETA TBD. Updated registration instructions will be provided at that time.

To register for a Veritas certification exam from the Veritas LearnCentral Portal, you must have a Customer account. If you do not have a Customer account, log in and follow the instructions to create one.

Exam fees are payable by Education Training Units. The cost is $200 USD/20 Training Units per exam, or your country’s currency equivalent. Veritas reserves the right to change exam fees at any time.

You will receive a pass/fail result immediately upon completion of your exam. A score report that provides information on the percentage of questions you answered correctly for each objective of the exam is shown. Make sure that you screen capture the information for future reference.

You will receive pass/fail results immediately upon completion of your exam. If you pass, you can print your certificate from the Completed Learning tab of your Veritas LearnCentral Portal account.

Veritas Certified Specialist certifications have no expiration date. When certification verification is required, Veritas will identify the product version, thus distinguishing between those who have upgraded certifications and those who haven’t. Veritas highly recommends recertification to remain current with Veritas technology and trends. View the listing of current Veritas Certified Specialist exams.

No. Veritas maintains this policy to ensure security over the exam questions.

If you do not pass an exam on your first attempt, you must wait at least 3 days (72 hours) before a second attempt. If you do not pass an exam on your second attempt, then you must wait at least 2 weeks (14 days) between each additional attempt. There is no discount for additional attempts.

Certification requirements, exam topics and recommended training is available for each certification exam. Sample exams are also available. Each sample exam consists of multiple-choice items. For more information on specific certifications, please see the Certification exam details.

Veritas strongly recommends taking specific courses prior to attempting a certification exam. These courses are not required and are available for those who do not meet the minimum level of competence as tested by the exam. Veritas also recommends a minimum of 6 months of experience using the referenced product(s) before attempting an exam.

Exams are developed for the current version of the Veritas product release at the time of development and are named accordingly. Exams may be updated after significant new versions are released, however, new exams may not always correspond to the software release schedule.

Although it is intuitive to think that an appropriate passing score for an examination should be 70 or 75 percent correct based on personal experiences taking classroom tests, these arbitrary values may not reflect the performance level expected of the “minimally qualified candidate” given the difficulty of the test. For example, if the examination is very easy, a passing score of 70 may be too low. However, if the examination is very difficult, this same value may be too high.

Beta testing gives us a measurement of how difficult the exam questions are, as well as the overall difficulty of each individual exam. As a result, final passing scores vary for each exam.

In order to ensure the value of the Veritas Certification programme, Veritas routinely updates exams with new questions. In these cases the passing percentage could change per exam from time to time as these unannounced updates occur.

Many of the Veritas certification exams will be replaced by a newer product version of the exam as technology and trends continue to evolve. Legacy exams may be phased out from our website after a newer version of the exam is released. Legacy exams published with Pearson VUE may still be available on their website, as Veritas recognizes that legacy product versions will continue to hold their value in the marketplace as long as there is a demand from the industry.
