File copying log

Each time you copy files, the Ingest Connector creates a log file containing:

  • The file number, name, extension, and size.

  • The original and transfer hashes.

  • The creation, modification and access dates.

  • The original and insertion locations.

  • The insertion dates, types, folder, and status.

  • Comments.

The log file is named according to the date and time that the Ingest Connector is run and is stored in the Log directory, within the installation directory by default. The location of the log file can be changed to any location.

To change the log directory

  1. From the menu bar, click Tool > Options to open the Options dialog, then select General > Log Directory.
  2. Define the location for the logs to be stored:

    • Enter a full path to a directory for the log files to be stored.

    • Use the browse button to choose a directory for the logs to be stored.

  3. Click OK.
