Automatically selecting files
To select all the files in the Evidence File whose metadata matches selected parameters, you create a Selection Set.
To create a Selection Set
- From the menu bar, click Tools > Selection Sets to open the Define Selection Set dialog.
- Use the controls on the Define Selection Set dialog to define the file metadata to use:
Selection Set name - Use this drop down list to select a preconfigured Selection Set, then click Load.
File type - Use this list to select filename extensions for inclusion in the Selection Set.
Date to use - Use these radio buttons to select the type of date to use, then either enter the date range in the Starting on and the And including drop down lists, or click the associated down arrow and select the date(s) using the popup calendar that appears.
Owner - Use this drop down to select files by the owner (SID) for inclusion in the Selection Set.
- Click OK.
