Features

The EnCase Ingest Connector includes the following features:

  • Works with EnCase images (.E01 files), Logical Evidence Files (.L01 files), and DD images.

  • Automatically creates selection sets based on file metadata.

  • Can automatically exclude previously designated files (operating system and executable program files, for example) from being shown to the user within the Ingest Connector.

  • Can automatically prevent duplicate files from being included in collections.

  • Provides file selection manually using Windows standard file selection tools.

  • Extracts files from the Evidence File to a vault or to a designated disk location.

  • Automatically ensures that the files placed in the vault are perfect copies of the files in the Evidence File.
