Intelligent alerting

NetBackup IT Analytics Portal alerting and notification mechanism is enhanced to minimize flooding of alert notifications and support tickets due to failing backup jobs with a common root cause. This enhancement addresses the following issues typically observed during backup job failures:

  • Many alerts are generated for failing backup jobs within a backup window.

  • Many alerts are generated for a common root cause of backup failures.

  • Multiple duplicate ServiceNow tickets are opened for the same backup failure.
