Product name change and UI improvements
Aptare IT Analytics is now NetBackup IT Analytics. This product renaming coupled with several UI improvements brings the product closer to the Veritas NetBackup product family.
The prominent UI changes introduced in this release are described below.
Permanently visible left pane | The left pane on the portal UI, which displays an expandable list of components related to Inventory, Reports, Alerts, and Admin, will remain permanently visible during all actions on the portal UI. A special toggle control will allow you to shrink and expand its view. |
New icon for Action menu | The Action menu, which contains options such as Refresh, Edit Scope, Save As, and more, will appear as icon displayed as three vertical dots. |
UI Fonts and chart colors | Portal text fonts have been changed to make the content appear more crisp and clear. The chart reports will also appear in a new color scheme. |
Legends menu to view data sets | New Legends menu to selectively view the number of data sets on the chart. |
Informative chart legends | Chart legends will also display aggregated values of the source fields or in some cases source field values in descending order. The chart also has an improvised tooltip display. |
Reports behavior reformed | The report section is enhanced with the report name displayed in the form of hyperlink. Click required report name hyperlink and the scope selection window is displayed. Also, the row selection is made easy with the introduction of a checkbox for each row wherever applicable. A single click anywhere on the row, except the report name column, selects the row. |
Configurable drill down navigation behaviour | Every time you click a drill-down link or a bar on a chart, you can choose to open the drill down view either in the same tab or a new tab. You can also set a permanent navigation behavior for your account through the user menu of the portal. |
Breadcrumbs for navigation aid | Each NetBackup IT Analytics report will display a breadcrumb to aid in identifying the report source and also the navigation history of the report tab. While the breadcrumb helps you navigate the history of activity, you can use the left pane to navigate the context of reports and dashboards. |
Back arrow to restore previous view | Back arrow has been introduced on the reports UI to quickly restore the previous view on a report tab. |
