Anomaly detection with analytics and alerts

Anomaly detection engine of data protection tools is programmed to detect unusual and suspicious activities during the backup jobs. NetBackup IT Analytics captures the data form the anomaly detection engine and presents it for high-level view on dashboards in a summarized form with reasonable details, and as a drill down view for assessment of individual anomaly. Currently, anomaly detection reports are available for Veritas NetBackup products.

A new Anomaly Detection rule has been introduced to enable sending alert notifications about the detected anomalies. The new Anomalies Summary report allows you to mark anomalies as false positive. The detection engine uses this feedback during detection and reporting of subsequent anomalies.
