Limitations on reviewing certain types of Skype for Business content
Advanced Supervision uses the Enterprise Vault.cloud platform for accessing data, including Skype for Business instant messaging and conferencing communications. Enterprise Vault.cloud archives each of these communications as an individual email (EML) file that, in Advanced Supervision, has a message type of Instant Messaging.
Skype for Business communications can include whiteboards and polls that users share during a conference. The content of these two conference features is stored in a Microsoft-proprietary XML format, which Enterprise Vault.cloud cannot index. As a result, you cannot use the facilities in either Enterprise Vault.cloud or Advanced Supervision to search the text content of these items.
