Setting a central administration server for the Backup Exec server group
Set Central Administration Server for Group lets you set a central administration server for a group of stand-alone Backup Exec servers that are part of a server group. Before you use this task, you must have the Central Admin Server Option installed on the Backup Exec server that you select to be the central administration server.
If you use this task, the Backup Exec server group must have a group of stand-alone Backup Exec servers and at least one central administration server.
To set the central administration server for a Backup Exec server group
- Select a Backup Exec server group from Backup Exec Server Groups.
- In the task pane, under Backup Exec Server Group Tasks, click Set Central Administration Server for Group.
A list of stand-alone Backup Exec servers that comprise the Backup Exec server group appears in the Backup Exec servers field.
- In the Central administration server selection list, select a stand-alone Backup Exec server that you want to configure as the central administration server.
- Click OK.
- Click Yes to confirm the stopping and restarting of the Backup Exec services.
- Click Yes to continue.
- After the operation successfully completes, click Close.
