New features/enhancements are included in this release 

  • Backup Exec integrates with Veritas SaaS Backup to provide unified reporting across Backup Exec and Veritas SaaS Backup. In the Backup Exec console, you can use the reporting feature to run the Jobs Summary report to view Veritas SaaS Backup data along with Backup Exec data after configuring a Veritas SaaS Backup account.   • Windows Server, version 1903 and Windows 10, version 1903
  • Support for new cloud storage. Amazon S3 Glacier, Amazon S3 Glacier Deep Archive, Amazon S3 Intelligent-Tiering, and Amazon S3 One Zone-Infrequent Access
  • Support for new Google Cloud storage Regions. Asia-east2, asia-south1, asia-south1, asia-northeast2, europe-north1, europe-west4, europe-west6, northamerica-northeast1, southamerica-east1, US-west2.


Known issues resolved

  • Backup Exec console crashes after installing .NET Framework 4.8. (100045500)
  • Backups or restores fail with Backup Exec could not log on to the server with the logon account specified. (100044579)
  • Restore from RMAN fails with error: RMAN-06172: no AUTOBACKUP found or specified handle is not a valid copy or piece.
  • V-79-57344-38721 - GRT File restore from Tape Duplicate backup set fails with "Failed to mount one or more virtual disk images for Large Virtual machines". (100014075)
  • Capacity usage warning message displays the wrong percentage value. (100044452)
  • When installing/adding Backup Exec licenses the installation wizard hangs. (100044739)
  • The current time goes back to 17 hours earlier after the recovery by Simplified Disaster Recovery (SDR). (100044453)
  • Simplified Disaster Recover (SDR) completes with "Hardware Discovery process has failed and the computer may not start". (100045122)
  • Backup Exec console reports "The query for ASRVM failed". (100045832)
  • After upgrade from BE15 NDMP device discovery takes more than 1 hour/

Prerequisites

  • Administrative privileges are required to install this Feature Pack. 
  • Backup Exec 20, 20.1, 20.2, 20.3 or 20.4


Post requisites

  • A full backup is recommended after installing this Feature Pack.
  • Remote Agent for Windows Servers will need to be updated after installing this Feature Pack.
  • Remote Agent for Linux/Unix Servers (RALUS/RAMS) will need to be updated after installing this Feature Pack.  
  • Update SDR media.
  • Veritas recommends to reboot the system(s) after applying a Hotfix or Feature Pack.


Uninstalling this Update
