Hardware verification
Review the information in Table: Installation confirmation after the hardware installation and cable connections are complete, but before the devices are turned on.
Note:
Do not attach external devices, such as tape drives or SAN clients, to the appliance until this process has been completed.
Warning:
Confirm that all power to the devices is turned off to prevent personnel injuries and to prevent damage to the devices.
Verify that the devices and cables are installed correctly. The following table provides instructions to verify the device installation.

Storage shelves | The storage shelves are installed securely in the lowest portion of the rack cabinet. | The storage shelves are insecurely mounted or mounted too high within the rack cabinet. |

AC power cables | The AC power cables of the appliance and all storage shelves are connected to the power modules and the AC power supply. | Only one power cable is connected to the device. |
