Adding asset infrastructure for Hyper-V virtual machines
The following table describes the asset infrastructure to be added to Veritas Resiliency Platform for discovery and management of Hyper-V virtual machines. If you are using Hyper-V Replica for replication, only the Hyper-V virtualization server must be added. Otherwise, additional asset infrastructure is added, depending on the replication technology.
Table: Adding asset infrastructure for Hyper-V virtual machines
Task | Details | Infrastructure category in console |
---|---|---|
Add the Hyper-V virtualization server | See Managing Hyper-V assets . | Virtualization |
For storage-array-based replication | ||
Configure a discovery host | Configure a discovery host with the vendor-specific array management tools and connect it to the enclosure See About the discovery host for enclosures. See Configuration prerequisites for adding storage enclosures to an IMS. | not applicable |
