Configuring MSDP replication to a different NetBackup domain
Table: NetBackup MSDP replication configuration tasks describes the tasks that are required to replicate backup images from one to another in a different NetBackup domain.
Optionally, you can use a separate network for the optimized duplication traffic.
See About a separate network path for MSDP duplication and replication.
Table: NetBackup MSDP replication configuration tasks
Step | Task | Procedure |
---|---|---|
Step 1 |
Learn about MSDP replication | |
Step 2 |
Determine if you need to configure a trust relationship with the target NetBackup domain |
A trust relationship is optional. See About trusted master servers for Auto Image Replication. |
Step 3 |
Add the remote storage server as a replication target |
See Configuring a target for MSDP replication to a remote domain. See Viewing the replication topology for Auto Image Replication. |
Step 4 |
Configure a storage lifecycle policy |
The following are the options when you configure the SLP operations:
See About storage lifecycle policies. See About the storage lifecycle policies required for Auto Image Replication. |
Step 5 |
Configure replication bandwidth |
Optionally, you can configure the bandwidth for replication. See About configuring MSDP optimized duplication and replication bandwidth. |
