Assigning entitlements to hosts
During the initial configurations, after you add hosts and update the License meter and the Entitlements file, there might be some hosts to which entitlements need to be assigned. Or at a later stage when you add new hosts, you need to assign entitlements to them. Sometimes hosts can have entitlements from multiple entitlements IDs. In this case if one or more IDs expire, then the entitlement status of the host is shown as Partially expired. And if any one entitlement from multiple assigned entitlements is unassigned then the status is shown as Partially assigned. In these scenarios you need to assign the entitlements again.
You can select multiple hosts to assign the entitlements. Ensure that you have selected hosts that have similar entitlement status such as unassigned. Hosts should also have a similar product bundle and the platform type. Cross bundle, status, or platform selection is not allowed. About assigning entitlements
Ensure that when a new host is added, the entitlements are assigned to the host. After 60 days of InfoScale product installation, if the entitlements are not assigned then the host details show that it is unassigned and overused.
There are three methods to assign entitlements to hosts. Choose whichever method is convenient for you.
Method 1: From the License management menu, select the host and assign the entitlement. To assign entitlements to hosts from the License management menu:
Method 2: From the Entitlements tab in Entitlements menu, select the entitlement and assign it to a host. To assign entitlements to hosts from the Entitlements tab
Method 3: From the License cores usage tab in Entitlements menu. Select the InfoScale product and then assign the entitlement to the host. To assign entitlements to hosts from the License cores usage tab
