Adding hosts to License Management Service using the CSV file
If License Management Service is installed as a standalone product, then you need to add the hosts that have InfoScale products to License Management Service. However if License Management Service is installed on the same host that has InfoScale Operations Manager, then the host data is refreshed automatically on License Management Service console. The Add host operation on License Management Service is disabled and can be performed only using the InfoScale Operations Manager console.
You can add multiple hosts to License Management Service using the .csv file.
Using the option, you can add multiple hosts by importing the information from a comma-separated (.csv) file from a specified location. The CSV file must include the ".csv" extension. The following is an example of a CSV file that includes usernames and passwords for each host:
Host, User, Password host1.abc.com, username1, password1 host2.abc.com, username2, password2
The first line in the CSV file must appear as mentioned in the example. You can replace the subsequent lines with your host names, usernames, and passwords.
You are redirected to the Activity Monitor where you can view the tasks for the add host operation along with their current status such as In Progress, Completed, or Queued.
Ensure that the minimum version requirement of managed host package as mentioned in Arctera License Management Service Software Compatibility List is met. Else there can be issues in host discovery and the operation may fail.
