Description

SC-26975

Adds functionality to the SQL Template Designer to directly support line charts .The option is displayed as selection along with bar charts, area charts and so on. When line chart is selected along with the Legend Formatter, the Line chart is displayed as a dynamic line chart.

SC-26771

To enable upgrading and maintenance, the Apache and SSL configuration structures have been broken out for new installations. New files have been introduced to accommodate customization separately. The new structures are:

  • httpd.conf - Do not edit unless instructed to do so by support or services.

  • httpd-aptare.conf - Do not edit.

  • httpd-override.conf - User edits belong in this file, if required.

  • httpd-ssl.conf - Do not edit unless instructed to do so by support or services.

  • httpd-ssl-aptare.conf - Do not edit.

  • httpd-ssl-override.conf - User edits belong in this file, if required.

SC-24403

New version support for Apache Tomcat: 8.5.56

SC-24176

A new utility has been introduced to change the password for the Oracle Database user Portal.

  • Linux: /opt/aptare/utils/changeDBPassword.sh <New password>

  • Windows: C:\opt\aptare\utils\changeDBPassword.bat <New password>

SC-23716

This enhancement revises the alert suppression behavior by suppressing the entire alert for the rule instance and object combination instead of just the instance of the alert. Previously, Suppress only marked an existing alert to not be shown in the reports for the selected time period. Now, when the alert is marked Suppress, an alert is not generated again even if the alert criteria is met.

SC-23105

To address issues with FTP security, log files gathered from the Support Tools operation now uses SFTP to upload files to Veritas Support. The label on the dialog box has been updated to reflect this change. This operation is not available to OEM customers.

SC-22996

After upgrading to 10.5, to protect the Data Receiver server from unauthenticated and unauthorized access, set the custom parameter: datareceiver.security.authentication value to TRUE. This is located in the Portal under Admin>Advanced>System Configuration.Note this custom parameter is displayed only in an upgrade scenario, and is not visible with a fresh install - the value is defaulted to "TRUE".

SC-21130

This enhancement changes the behavior of the Portal upgrader. With this change, upgrading a system now retains custom revisions to the Oracle job status values rather than resetting to a default value after the upgrade.

33367

Modified functionality to address upgrade issue and errors are recorded when multiple records are found for data fields, product_type and is_master fields in the table apt_server_type.

33205

Resolves an issue where on a sparkline chart, the tooltip was partially hidden in table's first row.

32748

Resolves an issue in the My Profile dialog where the Login field was editable. It is now read-only.

32333

Resolves an issue where attribute values were not visible in reports created with the Dynamic Template Designer.

32511

Updates the green help text for the Storage Optimization Rule: VMs not in VM Inventory. The help now reads: Include only the specified file types when identifying file types that are consuming storage. File types are identified by filename extension, such as log, vmsd, vms1, VmDisk,VmLog,VmSuspendState,VmSwapFile,VmSnapshot,VmMemory, VmLogVmotion, VmConfigTemplateHeader and VmNvram. Enter a comma-separated list of case-sensitive file types. To exclude this parameter from the rule, use a blank value.

21812

Updated the values of the is_active indicator that are stored in the database for EMC VNX (Celerra) and File Analytics policies. Values are now Y and N.

SC-27972

Support for LDAP keystore password. User connecting to LDAP over SSL are now required to create a new keystore with password. Add password to portal.properties under the key ldap.keystore.password

SC-33444

Addresses the need to restrict the roles that are associated with Azure application required for successful Microsoft Azure data collection. The only roles that are required to be associated are "Reader" role and a "Custom" role with action "Microsoft.Storage/storageAccounts/listkeys/action". User can choose to assign these roles if the privileges available through the "Contributor" role do not comply with the organizational policy. Refer Create a Principal and Assign Role to the Application section in APTARE IT Analytics Data Collector Installation Guide for the Cloud to understand procedure to create a custom role.
