Clearing the hardware status
If you replace a hardware component or experience any issues with the hardware monitoring data, you may need to clear the hardware status. When you clear the status, all component statuses are reset. When you recheck the monitoring data, the most current information shows.
Note:
This feature is available on version 3.2 and later.
To clear the hardware status
- Log in to the Flex Appliance Shell.
- Run the following command:
support clear-hardware-status
- Follow the prompts to confirm.
Note:
After the status is cleared, the collection of new data takes approximately 5 to 10 minutes. During that time, the hardware monitoring commands do not show any data.
