About managing services on NetBackup appliances
The Manage Services page lets you start, stop, or restart certain services on an appliance. Follow the steps in the wizard to manage services.
Consider the following requirements for managing services on NetBackup appliances from the Appliance Management Console:
The ability to the manage services on an appliance remotely is available for NetBackup Appliances with AMA version 1.4 or later. You need to update earlier versions of the agent before you can perform these actions on an appliances.
You can simultaneously manage services on multiple appliances provided that the software versions of the selected appliances match.
The Appliance Management Console does not let you restart any appliance infrastructure services if the appliance that you selected is registered as AMS and not as an agent. Similarly, it does not let you restart the
amsagentservice.
