Running hardware tests on NetBackup appliances

You can perform a hardware test to gather information about your hardware health or to detect any errors that have occurred.

To run a hardware test

  1. From the AMS Home page, select the NetBackup appliance on which you would like to run a hardware test.
  2. Select Actions > Test Hardware from the menu.
  3. Confirm that you have selected the appliances on which you would like to perform the test. Click Next.
  4. You can run tests to check for hardware errors or to learn about hardware health. Select the type of hardware test you would like to run and click Submit.
  5. After the test is complete, you can view test results. You can choose to view results in a tabular format by clicking Format results.
