Starting Arctera System Recovery
Arctera System Recovery is installed in the Windows program files folder by default. During installation, a program icon is installed in the Windows system tray from which you can open Arctera System Recovery. You can also open Arctera System Recovery from the Windows Start menu.
To start Arctera System Recovery
- Depending on the Windows version you are running, use one of the following methods:
On the classic Windows taskbar, click Start > Programs > Arctera System Recovery.
On the Windows taskbar, click Start > All Programs > Arctera System Recovery.
In the Windows system tray, double-click the Arctera System Recovery tray icon.
In the Windows system tray, right-click the Arctera System Recovery tray icon, and then click Open Arctera System Recovery.
When you start Arctera System Recovery, the dialog box is displayed that lets you know if a recovery disk is created on your computer. A Arctera System Recovery Disk is critical for system restore and needs to be created before you start creating and running backup jobs. Arctera recommends that you create a recovery disk at the earliest on a computer that has the latest version of the Windows operating system.
On the dialog box, click to launch the Arctera System Recovery Disk Creation Wizard. You can also click Tasks > Create New Recovery Disk to launch the Arctera System Recovery Disk Creation Wizard.
