Reviewing department items
Before you proceed, ensure you have the Review permission to proceed with this task.
If a department contains review items, the application enables a option to display the selected folder in the pane. This enables you to access department items for review more efficiently. If a department has no items, the option remains disabled.
You can copy review items to a research folder available in the selected department. If a research folder is unavailable, you can create a new folder while copying the items.
While reviewing the department items, you can:
add comments to the items.
assign status marks to the items.
copy items from department to its research folders.
To review department items
- In the left navigation pane, click Departments.
- Expand the Departments section, search for and select the required child department.
- Click Go To Review.
The application opens the selected department in the Review pane. Click the link in the Summary section to view unreviewed items as shown in the sample image below.
- To add comments, select the required items and click Add Comment.
In the Add Comment pop-up, either click a relevant comment from the available options (only one comment can be selected) or enter a new comment. Then, click OK.
- To assign status marks, select the required items and choose the appropriate option from the following:
Click Pending or press Alt+P to mark the items as pending for review.
Click Questioned or press Alt+Q to mark the items as questioned to raise a query.
Click Reviewed Irrelevant or press Alt+I to mark the items as compliance irrelevant.
Click Reviewed Relevant or press Alt+R to mark the items as compliance relevant.
Click Escalate or press Alt+E to mark the items as escalated and add a comment for further attention.
Note:
Using the client configuration settings, Insight Surveillance administrators can make it mandatory for reviewers to add a comment when escalating items. If enabled, reviewers need to add a comment before escalating items.
Click Appraise or press Alt+P to appraise the work of department reviewers and manage any exception employees in the department.
If you have Apply Bulk Review Action permission, you can mark multiple items simultaneously:
Click Mark All Items from Author to apply the mark to all items from the author of the selected item.
Click Mark All Items in the Set to apply the mark to all items in the selected research folder.
In the Bulk Mark dialog box, click the Mark drop-down list and select the required mark, Pending, Questioned, Reviewed Irrelevant, and Reviewed Relevant. Then expand the Recent comments group, and select a relevant predefined comment, depending on your permission level. If you do not find a relevant predefined comment, enter a new comment for the item.
