Installing the NetBackup client add-on packages

The supported NetBackup clients can be installed as add-on packages.

To install the add-on packages

  1. Download the add-on packages for the NetBackup client:
    • VRTSaccess-app-ADDON-NBUClient-8.1-1.0.0-1.x86_64.rpm

    • VRTSaccess-app-ADDON-NBUClient-8.2-1.0.0-1.x86_64.rpm

    • VRTSaccess-app-ADDON-NBUClient-8.3-1.0.0-1.x86_64.rpm

    • VRTSaccess-app-ADDON-NBUClient-9.0-1.0.0-1.x86_64.rpm

  2. Go to the Appliance CLISH. Navigate to Manage > Software > Share Open.
  3. Copy the add-on packages to the /inst/patch/appliance/available/ folder using NFS or CIFS. Repeat this operation on all the nodes of the cluster.

  4. In the Appliance CLISH, navigate to Manage > Software > List Downloaded to confirm that the add-on packages are downloaded successfully.
  5. Navigate to Manage > Software > Install <NBU Client add-on package name> to install the package.
  6. Navigate to Manage > Software > List InstalledADDONs to confirm that the package has been installed.

To remove the add-on packages

  1. Go to the Appliance CLISH. Navigate to Manage > Software > Rollback to uninstall the packages
  2. Navigate to Manage > Software > List InstalledADDONs to confirm that the package has been removed.
