Flex Appliance 2.1 release content

The following list contains the known issues that were fixed and that are now included in this release of Flex Appliance:

  • If you attempted to upgrade Flex Appliance when an instance operation was in progress or pending, the upgrade precheck failed with the following incorrect error message:

"Error: VUF failed to install package."

  • After a warning message displayed to let you know that your password was about to expire, you could no longer sign out of the Flex Appliance Console because an "invalid token" error occured. In addition, if you refreshed the page, you were redirected to the sign-in page.

  • If you upgraded an application instance that had an OpenStorage (OST) plug-in installed on it, you had to reinstall the plug-in after the upgrade was committed successfully.

  • When you added a large file to the repository, the following issues could occur:

    • If the upload took longer than 15 minutes due to slow internet speeds, the upload failed.

    • A "Failed to unmarshal JSON" error message appeared when you signed in to the Flex Appliance Console after the upload.

  • After an update, an issue could occur that caused multiple email alerts to be sent for an unsupported Fibre Channel connection.

  • During a rollback after an instance upgrade, the Activity Monitor erroneously showed Clear state tasks with the following error message:

"Failed to clear the fault on <instance_ID>_<version>_appVols on <node_name>. Check /log/nodeworker/worker.log and VCS logs for more details."

  • In certain scenarios, the Fibre Channel page briefly appeared in the Flex Appliance Console on the Veritas 5150 Appliance.

  • When you power cycled or restarted an appliance, the Flex Appliance Console required an additional three minutes before you could try to sign in.

  • If Fibre Channel devices were connected to the appliance but you did not have any application instances, "Abort command" messages displayed in the /var/log/messages log.

  • If you upgraded both nodes of a multi-node appliance and then rolled back one of them, the Flex Appliance Console still showed the upgraded version on both nodes.

  • If you upgraded a node and the node was restarted incorrectly due to a power outage, pressing the power button, or a similar scenario, the remaining upgrade steps failed.
