OPatch installation steps
- As a root user, copy the
opatchfile from/tmpto/opt/aptare/oraclefolder.mv p6880880_190000_Linux-x86-64.zip /opt/aptare/oracle. - Set the PATH
export PATH=$PATH:/opt/aptare/oracle/OPatch.
- Rename the Opatch folder and unzip
opatchfile.cd /opt/aptare/oracle mv OPatch OPatch_old unzip p6880880_190000_Linux-x86-64.zip
The above command will create a folder with name
opatchin/opt/aptare/oracle. - Set Permission on the
opatchfolder.chown -R aptare:dba /opt/aptare/oracle/OPatch - Run the following command to check the
opatchversion:OPatch/opatch version OPatch Version 12.2.0.1.45 OPatch succeeded.
