Facing data leakage incidents and growing cyber threats, Lotte Card sought to strengthen their information protection system. While implementing Microsoft Teams for collaboration, they realized the need for enhanced security monitoring within M365 to comply with regulations and internal policies. To address this, they adopted Veritas solutions to detect and monitor personal information in M365 and Teams posts, thereby improving their operational efficiency and data management.
Lotte Card deployed Veritas Data Compliance and Governance solutions, including Merge1 for cloud data collection, Enterprise Vault for archiving and tagging personal information, and VAS (Veritas Advanced Supervision) for ongoing monitoring. They systematically archived data from Teams, OneDrive, Exchange, and SharePoint, applying specific detection rules for personal information. Comprehensive monitoring was conducted across all devices and environments, with post-monitoring processes tailored to various digital workspaces. The project was executed in collaboration with SEIOLAB, whose technical expertise strengthened the monitoring framework to meet financial compliance requirements.
Lotte Card improved compliance with legal regulations by securely managing and supervising personal information in Teams, reducing the risk of external exposure. The Veritas solution enhanced data security by archiving and monitoring communications and provided Lotte Card with greater visibility enabling them to established robust inspection processes for personal information. Additionally, the implementation increased operational efficiency through effective data management within the M365 environment and facilitated rapid response with post-traceability.
