Troubleshoot resource group permissions
If appropriate permissions are not assigned to the resource group, the snapshot creation fails for Azure resources that are associated to resource groups.
Workaround:
To resolve this issue, perform the following steps:
Navigate to https://portal.azure.com/#blade/HubsExtension/BrowseResourceGroups.
Click on the resource group, that is to be used in the snapshot.

Save and try to backup again.
