Adding a node using REST APIs fails when the new node tries to synchronize the EEBs or patch updates installed on the cluster
While adding a new node to an existing cluster using REST APIs, the new node is identified using the Avahi IP. When the new node synchronizes with the cluster nodes to install the EEB or the patch updates, the IP might change if the new node is restarted, which results in failure of subsequent APIs. (IA-27775)
Workaround:
Download and install the EEB or the patch update on the new node manually, and then run the REST API to discover the new nodes again to detect the AVAHI IP. You can then proceed with add node operation using the REST APIs.
