- If cluster configuration fails (for example because an IP address that was already in use is specified) and you try to reconfigure the cluster, the UI displays an error but the configuration process continues to run

Checking and repairing storage
You can check storage for errors and perform consistency checks and repair the storage from the NetBackup Flex Scale UI if the storage is corrupted or degraded. The storage check and repair operations are time consuming operations and can impact the system performance.
Warning:
Do not run the repair storage operation without the guidance from Veritas Support. Always contact Veritas Support if you run into any storage related issues. Running the repair storage operation without any guidance from Veritas support may lead to improper system behavior.
- Use any one of the following options to log in using the user account that you created when you configured the cluster:
Using an user account with an Appliance Administrator and NetBackup Administrator role, log in to the NetBackup web interface
https://ManagementServerIPorFQDNwhere ManagementServerIPorFQDN is the public IP address that you specified for the NetBackup Flex Scale management server and API gateway during the cluster configuration, and then in the left pane click Appliance management.Using an user account with an Appliance Administrator role, log in to the NetBackup Flex Scale web interface
https://ManagementServerIPorFQDN:14161where ManagementServerIPorFQDN is the public IP address that you specified for the NetBackup Flex Scale management server and API gateway during the cluster configuration.
- On the Dashboard in the Services area click View details.
- On the NetBackup page click Processes.
- To check storage:
Click the Actions menu (vertical ellipsis) from the right side of the row in the UI and click Check storage.
Review the message and when prompted for confirmation, click Continue.
The progress of the operation is displayed on top of the page and a notification is displayed after the operation is complete.
A report containing the details and result of the operation is generated and can be viewed as a log package by clicking Settings > Diagnostics.
- To repair storage:
For the row that shows as unhealthy in the Status column, click the Actions menu (vertical ellipsis) from the right side of the row and click Check storage.
Review the message and when prompted for confirmation, click Continue.
The progress of the operation is displayed on top of the page and a notification is displayed after the operation is complete.
A report containing the details and result of the operation is generated as a log package and can be viewed by clicking Settings > Diagnostics.
