Migrating data from scale-out and erasure-coded file systems

Starting with 7.4.3, only the Cluster File System (CFS) is supported. The scale-out file system and file systems with erasure-coded layout are no longer supported. Veritas provides a utility to migrate data from a scale-out file system to a CFS file system and from an erasure-coded file system to a non erasure-coded file system.

The migration_tool.py utility is included in the migrate_file.tar.gz file, which is located in the dvd1-redhatlinux/rhel7_x86_64/tools directory. Ensure that you migrate the data before you upgrade from version 7.4.2 to version 7.4.3.
