Configure multifactor authentication for your user account
For enhanced security, you can configure multifactor authentication for your user account. You must first install and configure the authenticator application on your smart device that provides you with the one-time password.
If the NetBackup Self Service administrator has globally enforced multifactor authentication, you must configure it for your user account for successful sign-in.
To configure multifactor authentication for your user account
- On the top right, click the user icon and click Configure multifactor authentication.
- Follow the configuration steps on the screen as they appear.
- Install and configure the authenticator application on your smart device. It generates a one-time password and sends it to your smart device. For more information, click the following link:
- Scan the QR code with the authenticator application or enter the key manually.
- Enter the one-time password that you see in the authenticator application on your smart device, then click Save.
At the time of your next sign-in, you must enter the one-time password after entering your username and password.
