Enabling detail monitoring
The section below describes how to enable detail monitoring using the configuration wizard.
To enable detail monitoring
- Start the Oracle Configuration Wizard from the Apps menu on the Start screen.
- Review the prerequisites and click Next.
- On the Wizard Options panel, click Modify service group, select the service group configured for the instance to be monitored in detail, and click Next.
- On the Oracle Configuration panel, select the SIDs to be configured along with their respective listeners and click Next.
- On the Detail Monitoring dialog box, specify information to enable detail monitoring, and click Next.
Enter the appropriate information in the following fields:
Detail Monitor
Check the Detail Monitor option corresponding to each database that you want to configure detail monitoring for.
SQL Path
Type the path of the SQL file that will query the database to validate the status. Click the icon next to the field to browse for the SQL file.
A sample SQL file,
check.sql, is located at%VCS_HOME%\bin\Oracle\. - On the Domain and User selection panel, type a valid domain name, user name, password, and then click Next.
- Follow the wizard instructions and accept the default values in the subsequent dialog boxes.
