New features in this release
This release has the following features and enhancements:
Hit highlighting navigation. You can use the hit highlighting navigation bar in the reading pane to select a search term from the drop-down list, and then move through the highlighted hits.
Enhanced simple search suggestions. The simple search suggestions now provide additional criteria that help you refine your search. For example, if you select the keyword Filetype from the suggestions, Enterprise Vault Search shows more keywords such as Document, Presentation, and so on. You can select these keywords to refine your search.
Live simple search. When using simple search, if you select one of the following search suggestions keywords, Enterprise Vault Search updates the search results immediately:
Item contains
People
Favorites
Subject
Searches
Advanced search suggestions. Search suggestions are now available with advanced search as well as simple search. As you start to type in the search pane, Enterprise Vault Search offers suggestions based on your previous searches, items and folders that you have accessed, and so on.
Advanced search size ranges. You can now select size ranges in an advanced search. The following ranges are available:
Tiny: 0-10 KB
Small: 10-25 KB
Medium: 25-100 KB
Large: 100-500 KB
Very large: 500 KB - 5 MB
Enormous: > 5 MB
Option to restore items from journal archives to other users' mailboxes. If you have full access rights to other users' Exchange mailboxes, you can now restore items from Enterprise Vault journal archives to the Restored Items folders in these mailboxes.
