Other interfaces for UNIX

NetBackup provides additional interfaces for UNIX systems.

You can perform user-directed operations with the following interfaces. However, Veritas recommends that you use the Backup, Archive, and Restore interface for user-directed operations.

Menu User Interface (MUI)

You can use this interface on any terminal that can connect to a client system. The bp command starts the menu interface program.

For information about how to use the MUI, refer to the bp man page and the Help in the interface.

Command-line interface (CLI)

Commands let you perform backup, archive, restore operations from a shell prompt.
